Method
Year-on-year and month-on-month changes are computed from the published all-Japan indices (2020 base up to December 2025, 2025 base from January 2026) and rounded to one decimal; they can differ by about 0.1 point from the officially announced rates. Items that were added or discontinued at the 2025 rebasing have shorter histories. OECD figures are the annual growth rates published by the OECD.
